1. Our Role: Controller vs. Processor

As a Controller: We act as a Data Controller for your account information (e.g., your name, email, and billing details used to manage your subscription).
As a Processor: We act as a Data Processor when you use our tools to analyze data from third-party platforms (e.g., Spotify, YouTube). In this role, we process data solely on your instructions as outlined in our Data Processing Agreement (DPA).

2. Information We Collect

Account Data: Name, email address, and password provided during sign-up.
Payment Data: We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your credit card number; Stripe provides us only with a "token" and transaction status.
Platform Data: When you connect third-party accounts (Spotify, Google, TikTok, Meta, Apple Music, SoundCloud, or X), we collect the metadata and analytics you authorize via OAuth.
Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and usage logs stored on our Base44 infrastructure to ensure security and platform stability.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to:

  • Provide and maintain the ReleaseOS platform.
  • Process your subscription payments via Stripe.
  • Communicate with you regarding account updates or support requests.

AI Protection Guarantee: We do NOT use your Personal Data or Platform Data to train, tune, or improve any Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) models.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your data. We only share data with service providers necessary to run our business:

Infrastructure: Base44 (Cloud hosting and database).
Payments: Stripe (Payment processing).
Legal: As required to comply with law or protect our legal rights.

5. Third-Party API Disclosure

ReleaseOS uses authorized APIs to provide its services.

YouTube: Our Services use YouTube API Services. Users are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Revocation: You may revoke ReleaseOS's access to your platform data at any time via your account settings or the third-party platform's security settings.

6. Data Security & Location

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Base44 in the United States. We implement industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit) to protect your information.

7. International Data Transfers

If you are accessing the services from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, your data will be transferred to the United States. We utilize Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and adhere to the principles of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework to ensure your data remains protected.

8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data.
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format.
